Maxwell Appraisal Service was started in 1999 by Michael Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell is a General Licensed Appraiser and has worked in Mass Appraisal since 1989. The company has provided Data Collection/Revaluation and Annual Reassessment consulting to numerous Towns and Cities across upstate New York. He provides hands on relationship to his clients, as they are always working with the owner and principles not salaried employees. He provides professional work with his quality personnel always supervised by Mr. Maxwell himself. Mr. Maxwell also has an extensive knowledge of V4 and the data entry and valuation components.  He continues to support many of the municipalities with Annual Reassessment or revaluation updates.

2001- Present Dan has been the Sole Assessor for the Towns of Manheim, Fairfield and the Town of Stark in Herkimer County since 2001. He has been responsible for maintaining a current and equitable assessment roll and property inventory in each town. Including but not limited to, administering exemptions, sales transfers and updating property record cards from building permits. His duties also include B.A.R training, Assessor training, data collection, developing land and cost tables, valuation of residential and commercial property and public information meetings.
